  • East Preston and Angmering beach has groynes and is pebbles with compact sand at mid to low tide. The standard beach for this West Sussex stretch, although due to difficult access the beach tends to be used by the locals

This area of beach is similar to areas on West of Littlehampton with houses and private estates backing directly onto the pebble beach.

Popular sailing location with a sailing club on the beach.

Small beach kiosk by the sailing club.

Limited parking due to the houses backing onto the beach. You have two parking choices, the village or the sailing club. Some of the roads have daytime parking restrictions in the summer or require residence permits.

The beach is only just down the road from the village center with cafes, more parking, pubs and some shops.

We have no dog information for East Preston and Angmering beach.

A lovely beach for all the family.
The beach has a high pebble reach at high tide but at low tide has extensive sand and rock areas as the sea goes out more than one hundred yards between tides. Lovely for children at low tide and ideal for beach fishermen at high tide. Access for disabled difficult at all times. The local Disabled Action Group is working to improve the situation on disabled access to the pebble area and provision of walkways and platforms to enable better access for the whole community
