Not hard to figure out why this beach is called Lighthouse beach. The beach is made famous by the lighthouse on wooden stilts and you can walk out to the lighthouse with care.
This is the start of a six mile length of beach offering wide-open expanses of sand with dunes at the top of the beach.
Take note that it is very dangerous to approach the sea at low tide due to sinking sand and mud. Pay attention to the warning signs.
The beach is warden patrolled in the summer and you have limited parking so one option is to try Burnham seafront.
Lighthouse Beach allows dogs.
No water quality measurement available for Lighthouse Beach.
