All Places in North Yorkshire

North Yorkshire is in the North East of England.

This part of the UK offers forty five miles of ever changing coast with the Moors as a backdrop. It's dramatic and rugged with beautiful beaches, rocky coves, tiny seaside villages, high cliffs and superb resorts with a cliff top path that runs for thirty miles!

Scarborough has two glorious sandy bays and attractions to keep even the busiest family active. Scarborough Castle perches on the headland, with the town below reaching to the harbour offering insights into its Viking past. Robin Hood's Bay is sleepy but perfect for slow shopping and afternoon teas and just past the bay is Whitby dominated by the Gothic Abbey and inspiration for Bram Stoker's 'Dracula'.

Theatre, music shows, country markets, concerts, folk festivals, food and beverage festivals and street entertainment are to be found all down this coast line along with attractions like the Sealife Centre, the Whitby Folk Festival and the Filey Edwardian Festival and Motorcycle racing at Oliver's Mount.

Sailing, fishing, gold and bowls are just a few of the many activities offered in the area.
