Chesters Roman Fort (Hadrian's Wall). The cavalry fort was built to guard the Roman bridge which carried Hadrian’s Wall over the River North Tyne in Northumberland. See the museum, foundations of the headquarters building, the courtyard, hall, regimental temple, the commandant’s house. By the river, you can see the steam rooms and bathing areas of the garrison’s bath house.
