Wensleydale, North Yorkshire, UK
Bolton Castle is a spectacular 14th century castle situated in Wensleydale in North Yorkshire.
Bolton Castle is still in the private ownership of the descendants of the Scrope family, the original occupants. Although the castle was damaged in the English Civil War in the 16th century, much of it still stands and has many rooms can be seen in all their medieval splendour.
Visitors to the castle today can see falconry displays, wander through the medieval gardens as well as touring the main castle function rooms. There is a team room on site and the castle and grounds can also be hired out for events.
