The Alnwick Playhouse is a theatre and arts centre in the town of Alnwick in Northumberland.
Originally built in 1925, the Playhouse was closed in 1979, but reopened in 1990 following refurbishment.
As well as being home to a main theatre, it has a 200-seat auditorium for showing films, a bar and is headquarters for the NTC Touring Theatre Company. The Alnwick Playhouse is today firmly established as one of the leading small venues in the north of England, providing a diverse and mixed programme of arts and entertainment throughout the year.
