Longleat House and Safari Park

Longleat House is one of the best examples of Elizabethan architecture. The house was started in the 1540s by John Thynne when he brought the site which was an old priory. Over the years it has been extended and adapted, in 1949 the 6th Marquess of Bath was the first to open a stately home to the public.
Longleat Gardens has parts designed by Capability Brown. The garden also includes many activities to keep vistors ammused. These include the Elizabethan Knot Maze, Adventure castle and narrow-guage railway.
Longleat Safari Park opened in 1966, and was the first ever Safari Park outside Africa. the park has many attractions including a drive through area, feeding times, display, shows and events.
You can get day individual day tickets, a passport ticket that allows a single access to each over a few days or an unlimited season ticket.
