Joseph Banks Conservatory

Sir Joseph Banks Conservatory is a unique, tropical conservatory in the grounds of The Lawn, Lincolnshire It’s filled with plant exhibits that commemorate the collection of Sir Joseph Banks, a botanist and naturalist, on Cook's voyage to Australia.
The Lawn is an early 19th Century building that started life as a hospital and is now an event and conference facility situated close to Lincoln Castle and the Cathedral and has a hotel, orangery, play areas, stunning rose garden and the conservatory.
Tourists visit the tropical glass house to view the giant Koi carp, exotic plants and flowers and statues and take tea in the gardens. It’s home to Koi Zilla, the largest Koi carp in the world!
The Lawn and the Sir Joseph Banks Conservatory is open from 9am to 5pm year round and admission is free. There is a lovely gift shop at the entrance so you can take home a reminder.
