Jane Austen’s house is in Aston, Hampshire and it is here she spent her last eight years of life.

Jane Austen is known for her novels written in the 17th Century describing the society of pre-industrial England and the stories have become more popular as the years go by and some have even been turned into movies.

This year the theme is ‘At Home with the Austens’ and you can enjoy poetry readings and picnics as well as talks, music events and play readings. See the website for more details.

The house is open from 10:30am to 4:30pm on weekends and weekdays from 10am but check first!

Admission is from £7.50 for adults and children under 6 years are free.
