Pembrokeshire Beaches & Coast

Pembrokeshire coast and beaches

The beautiful county of Pembrokeshire lies in the south-western corner of Wales and is its most popular destination for holidaymakers. With more than 185 miles of coastal trails meandering around the stunning coastline, along with spectacular scenery and award-winning beaches, there is something for everyone here.

Pembrokeshire offers the visitor a great variety of small towns, villages and even one city where you can discover fantastic independent shops, a bustling arts and crafts industry and lovely guesthouses, B&Bs and campsites to stay in. From St David's in the furthest south-west, designated the UK's smallest city due to its cathedral, to the seaside towns of Fishguard and Newport, there's lots to see and do.

Much of the area is part of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park which was set up in 1952 to protect its beauty and the wildlife within it. The Park is unique for the United Kingdom in that it is predominately coastal.

Pembrokeshire is a paradise for wildlife lovers as it is unrivalled for its colonies of seabirds and marine life which cluster around the coves and cliffs at different times of the year. And if outdoors is what you've come to Pembrokeshire to explore, then there are a multitude of activities for you get involved in. Everything from walking the Park's coastal path, to surfing on the beaches at Newgale or Whitesands, cycling amongst the gentle hills or perhaps even trying out some horse riding or cliff-top golf!
