Cheshire Beaches & Coast

Cheshire coast and beaches

Cheshire is a ceremonial county in England towards the North of Wales but South of Liverpool.

This is a beautiful county of England showcasing English countryside from the shaded bluebell woods to the windswept moors. It shares the beauty of the rugged hills of the North with the farming lowlands of the South and shows you a new view at every turn.

Cheshire does not have significant coastal areas as it is pinned between the Merseyside and Flintshire coasts but does provide good accommodation options and places to visit when staying at the coast.

Visitors come to Cheshire all year round with the main attractions being the Peak District and the Dee Estuary. It's a wonderful spot for outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, walks, canoeing, climbing and simply relaxing. History abounds here and prehistoric burial grounds have been found here near Congleton and Robin Hoods Tump near Alpraham. Iron Age hill forts with names like Maiden Castle and Woodhouse adorn the hill tops and the Roman fortress of Chester rises above the ground in purple sandstone. Chester Castle is a day out on its own!

Tegg's Nose Country Park has stunning panorama's across the Peak District and a day out on the beach is in easy reach in Flintshire.

Accommodation is easy to find and ranges from bunk hostels to top hotels with Premier Inns in pertinent places for you to explore this gorgeous county.
