Cardiff Beaches & Coast

Cardiff coast and beaches

Cardiff is the capital of Wales. It lies on the bay to the South East of the United Kingdom. It's a vibrant city with great shopping, entertainment, historic buildings, eye catching modern architecture and even sandy beaches to spend the day on!

This city draws people from all over the country as it's a perfect place for a city break that not's too far from home and you can indulge yourself with a variety of activities from a girly weekend with shopping, spa and theatre to a manly break with pubs, clubs and golf or just a family long weekend being a tourist. Gastronomically, Cardiff is a foodies delight with restaurants, cafes, pubs and bistros galore!

One of the big attractions for the kids is the BBC studios where much of our favourite programmes are filmed like Doctor Who. The studio is full of terrific special effects and is great fun for the whole family as is the Olympic swimming pool, white water centre and ice rink!

Attractions to see include:

  • The Doctor Who Experience
  • Millennium Centre
  • St Fagan's Natural History Museum
  • Llandaff Cathedral
  • Cardiff Castle
  • Chapter Arts Centre
  • Craft in the Bay
  • High St, Royal and Morgan shopping arcades
  • St David's - Dewi Sant Shopping Mall
