Cork coast and beaches

County Cork is the most southerly region in Ireland. Cork is known for its peninsulas; Beara Peninsula, Sheep's Head, Mizen Head and Brow Head, with Brow Head being the most southerly point of mainland Ireland.

Cork has 1,094 km of coastline, the second-longest coastline of any county after Mayo, which has 1,168 km.

Cork has many islands off the coast.
