Kings Lynn Seaside

Kings Lynn is a market town and port within West Norfolk in the East of England and known for it's fishing and seafood industry, especially inshore prawns, shrimps and cockles. Although the town itself sits a bit from the coast on the River Great Ouse it is a good location as a base to explore the coast and countryside.

Kings Lynn is to the south of the Wash, an estuary on the northwest margin of East Anglia that is one opf the largest estuaries in the UK and is a Special Protection Area (SPA) and great for bird watching.

Kings Lynn has theatres, museums, historic buildings, several public parks, bars and restaurants along with a pedestrianised shopping area.

The Kings Lynn Festival takes over the town for a week in late July. The festival is known for it's classical music but does touch on other music genres like opera and jazz.
