2015 England Blue Flag Beach Awards

It’s that time of the year when the Blue Flag beaches are announced. 2015 has seen 61 English beaches get the Blue Flag Award, whilst 111 received the Seaside Award, Keep Britain Tidy’s own seal of approval. 31 beaches then achieved both awards.

This year, Thanet in Kent and Cornwall – two of the country’s most popular areas for holidaymakers have achieved the most Blue Flags, with seven each. New recipients of the 2015 Blue Flag Award include Hunstanton Main, Bridlington North and Ramsgate Main Sands. Torbay in Devon can claim the most Seaside Awards with a grand total of ten, closely followed by Cornwall with nine awards.
