Porthmelgan beach is a remote beach on St David's Head overlooking Ramsay island. At high tide the beach is pebbles and large area of sand becomes visible as the tide goes out. The beach is sheltered by rocky cliffs, A large stream cuts across the beach.

Porthmelgan beach is a popular choice rather than the busier Whitesands Bay beach, access to the beach is along a short 10 minute section of the coast path from Whitesands Bay.

Facilities

Car park, toilets and a seasonal cafe.
