Dungeness is sparsely populated and Europe's largest vegetated shingle split with steep pebbly banks.

Anglers and bird watchers are more common than families. The RSPB maintains a reserve with hides.

At the railway station you have a free parking, cafe and toilets just 5 minutes away. No facilities exist at Dungeness Point itself.

Dungeness Beach Reviews

Dungeness Beach -  12 Oct 2014 - By Anonymous -  One of the worlds great beaches - and unknown
Rating: 3.5  (location = , activites = , families = , relaxation = )

I lived and visited here at various times from 1966 until 2013. The beach at Greatstone is really wonderful. Unfortunately it is almost always freezing cold and windy.
