Pettycur Bay beach is a sheltered small sandy bay backed by sand dunes.

At low tide Pettycur Bay becomes a massive expanse of sand and mud flats nearly one mile wide. The beach goes out to Black Rocks and joins up in the west to Burntisland beach.
