Port Logan Bay Beach, Stranraer

Stranraer, Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland, UK

Port Logan Bay has a sandy beach in a sheltered cove next to the small village of Port Logan. The old harbour shelter for small boats to be launched from the slipway.

The old pier is a popular fishing spot whilst the sheltered cove attracts many water sports, including windsurfing, canoeing and water skiing.

To the north of the bay cut into the cliffs is Logan Fish Pond a Marine Life Centre. Access is through an arch in an unusual white cottage with castellations and arrow slits. The main 50ft diameter pond is accessed via steps cut into the rock of the shoreline.
