Port Grat is a very under-rated sandy west coast beach. As the tide goes out, small rocky outcrops are revealed, though best enjoyed when the tide is half-way up to half-way down.
No immediate facilities although Rousse is just the other side of the headland a few minutes away. There is one small car park at the northern end of the beach which is access via the road that leads to the Rousse headland, past the Peninsual hotel.
Dogs are banned between 1st May and 30th September.
