Liked the setting of the cottage; the quaintness, quietness, hospitality of the owners and cleanliness.
Mrs Cummings, Kent
,Hollins is a beautiful little character cottage in a lovely rural location. It is well placed for exploring the western Lake District, with other areas not too far away and only a few miles from the coast. It's a real get away from it all spot with only the sounds of the farm to be heard, yet still within walking distance of the pub. The owners were great; very friendly, approachable and helpful. We hope to return to the area and would have no hesitation in staying here again.
Mr Adams, West Midlands
,The cottage was lovely and comfortable, especially after a days walking in and around the lakes and fells. The hosts were great and friendly, and couldn't be more helpful. We loved staying on a working farm.
Miss Palmer, Caerffili
,Staying on a working farm was a great experience. The owners were extremely friendly and informative about their work and the surrounding area. The Cottage is in a great location for walks and a fantastic place if you take your own dogs on holiday with you. For us it was the perfect place to stay and we will book this Cottage in the future.
Mrs Letchford, Somerset
,The owners were very welcoming and flexible. We enjoyed learning about a working farm and seeing the animals in the yard. The cottage was cosy and well equipped. We enjoyed being in a truly rural location and exploring the Lakes from a less touristy base.
Miss England, Essex
,Delightful Cottage and very welcoming owners. We enjoyed returning to the cottage and lighting the wood burner after a long day of hill walking - the plentiful supply of logs were most appreciated! A great base for exploring the western lakes - beautiful scenery but without the crowds.
Mrs Black, Hertfordshire
,We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage suited us perfectly and had a nice feel to it. The owners were very friendly.
,We have had many cottage holidays in the Lake District but have rarely felt so at home. Being on a working farm was fascinating.
Mr Philpott, Kent
,Hollins Cottage was lovely, simple and homely. We loved it.
,We had such a lovely stay at Hollins Cottage. We were made to feel very welcome by all its inhabitants especially the herdwicks! It's ideally situated for walks to Ennerdale Water and the surrounding fells. The cottage itself was well maintained, very cosy and owing to typical British summertime weather we made excellent use of the wood burner.
