Lovely cottage, very friendly owner and would thoroughly recommended it to friends. Great having somewhere that is dog friendly and the lovely wood burning fire was really nice in the chilly evenings. Had nice big walled gardens with manicured lawns, had a couple of nice breakfasts in the morning with the dog running about. A very spacious cottage in general.
,Excellent comfortable property set in beautiful surroundings. Provides a good base for a holiday in the Borders with Duns just three miles away. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay.
,The house was fabulous. We found it immaculate, spacious and furnished and decorated to a very high standard. It was lovely to be able to step out of the front door to take the dog for a walk around the well maintained gardens and grounds. It's well located, just a short drive to the nearest town, beach and coastal path and we particularly enjoyed returning from a long walk to enjoy the real fire and endless supply of logs. Thank you for a most enjoyable break.
Mrs Skinner, Greater Manchester
,In a beautiful location. The grounds were stunning and the owners were friendly and helpful. A spacious property with fresh décor. Would recommend and will be back.
Mrs Mcfarlane, Renfrewshire
,The house is warm and very comfortable, the grounds are delightful and very well kept. We loved the planned walks round the estate and the freedom to wander, a great place for dogs and children! The owners are extremely helpful and welcoming. We will definitely return!
Mrs Gibb, Midlothian
,Having stayed in many cottages twice a year for 10yrs, this was by far the best we have ever stayed in. The owners were very friendly and the house and grounds were perfect. An ideal base to explore the borders.
,The house was absolutely beautiful. So cosy! I would recommend this house to anyone thinking about staying there! We were made very welcome and had everything we needed and more! The surroundings were equally as beautiful and we spent many hours enjoying the garden!
Miss Hammill, North East
,The entrance definitely had the wow factor. The property was beautifully decorated, clean, fully equipped and spacious with wonderful views of the garden and land. We were shown great hospitality from the owner. I would definitely stay there again when visiting the area.
Mr Hazlehurst, South Yorkshire
,The house was very spacious, clean and bright. The gardens were beautifully kept. It was a perfect place to relax; the best self catering property we have been to!
Mrs Thomas, North Ayrshire
,The house is very impressive from the outside and the inside is spacious, warm and comfortable. The grounds are equally impressive with a mapped walk around. It is 27 acres and with a walled garden that would not look out of place within the grounds of a stately home. There is room inside and out to socialise or just chill out.
Mr Winning, Tyne and Wear
,Stunning property in stunning grounds. Cottage owner was very helpful and the property is a credit to her.
Mrs Belk, Cheshire
,What a beautifully and tastefully transformed building. It had a real feel of luxury to it and the use of the shared and private walled gardens were ideal for our two boisterous dogs to safely run off energy. The owner lives in the manor house next door and was wonderfully pleasant and gracious, as were her staff. They even asked us to use whatever we could from the fruit and vegetable plots within the walled garden.
Mrs Houghton-burnett, Greater Manchester
,On our arrival the owner gave good directions and met us at the house to check everything was O.k. The walled garden was magnificent and the house itself was wonderful; the best we have stayed at in many years. We particularly liked the fact that there were two bathrooms at each end of the property for added privacy. We found all the staff to be lovely and would recommend the house to family and friends alike.
,The accommodation was first class, it was really beautiful! It was as described on the website but even better! The owner was lovely and the grounds of the Stables House were so beautifully kept. We would certainly go back and would recommend it to friends and family.
,Very spacious property, plenty of room for everyone. Property was well equipped, the beds were very comfortable, also very quiet and peaceful, beautiful garden grounds to walk round.
Mrs Jackson, Midlothian
,Everything about the property was excellent and almost understated.
,Stables House was beautifully built with lots of character and in a lovely location. The inside was furnished well and had everything we needed. The owner was very helpful. We will definitely be back to this one.
,This was an amazing house to stay in. The owners were all really friendly, there was plenty of wood for the fire and it was situated perfectly for neighbouring towns and villages. Truly a great relaxing house to holiday in.
Mr Ackerman, Nottinghamshire
,The location is very peaceful and provided a great opportunity to unwind. Stables House is very well equipped yet very spacious. This means that it works well for families / friends that want to spend time together while enjoying their own space. Stables House is immaculately presented and it is obvious that all involved take a great deal of pride in making your stay perfect. The night skies were particularly fantastic with virtually no light pollution.
Mr Coates, Northumberland
,Total peace and quiet in the area. Probably one of the best equipped cottage rentals I have ever been in. Lovely grounds for dogs to run around in. Cosy log fire to enjoy in the evenings.
Mr Robison, Angus
,Stunning house and grounds which were very clean and well kept. Perfect!
Mr Dekker, Nottinghamshire

,Everything about this holiday home was fantastic; from location to decoration to gardens, it was all a delight. The property is beautiful and the description doesn't do it justice. We were more than ecstatic with our choice and the value for money.
Mrs Roy, Derbyshire
,Stables House was a lovely well equipped house, in a beautiful setting.
,Stables House lived up to the description on the website. The house is stunning and beautifully situated. It is decorated to a high standard and very well equipped. The gardens are superb and the fields provided plenty of space for my German Shepherd dog to run. The owner is a charming, welcoming lady.
,A most stunning property and the walled garden was amazing. We have stopped in many cottages, but this was the best stocked with everything that we have stayed in. All more than excellent.
Mrs Holmes, South Yorkshire
,Best self catering property we have visited. Superb.
Mrs Thomas, North Ayrshire
,Very peaceful and good location. The House and gardens were stunning.
Mrs Clifton, Caithness
,My family and I had an absolutely lovely stay at Stables House. The house was incredibly spacious, well equipped and spotlessly clean. The owners were so welcoming as was the gentleman who cares for the garden and grounds. My family has been to many holiday homes but we agreed this was the best of all. We will most definitely be back.
