Loved the space and layout in the house for 7 of us and the old stonework provided great soundproofing! It was warm and cosy in the evening with the wood burner on and the wood-fired hot-tub was very popular. Had a friendly owner and neighbours. Highly recommended.
Mrs Turner, Midlothian
,Very friendly and helpful owner and a fantastic hot tub, an extremely relaxing environment.
,A fabulous little cottage, superbly finished whilst still being cosy and homely. Would definitely recommend.
,Loved the location, the wood burning hot tub and overall experience. It was really relaxing and the owner and his wife were great hosts. Would definitely return and have already recommended the cottage to several friends.
Mr Lang, Greater Manchester
,Property was lovely and a great spot for a relaxing break. Owner friendly, helpful and approachable. Lovely walks on the doorstep. A wonderful stay!
Mrs Muir, Renfrewshire
,The accommodation was the best thing about our holiday. We loved Durham and it was beautiful but the accommodation was outstanding!
Mrs Carty, Surrey
,Had an excellent time, it was a lovely cosy cottage which was warm throughout. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The hot tub was good even in freezing temperatures, the surroundings were nice and the log fire in the lounge was a very nice feature and essential during the winter. Would definitely stay again!
Mr Clarkson, West Yorkshire
,The cottage was fantastic with large rooms, a lovely log burner and beautiful views. The property is nice and silent at night and the showers were lovely and hot. The owners were the most attentive and friendly people, we will be back.
,The location was very good and the property was outstanding!
,We found this property is totally suitable for the disabled. The downstairs wet room, was suitable for 2 carers to assist in showering. No problems in using a folding hoist, so much area to move about in. Excellent.
,The Cottage was the ideal size and location. Bedrooms were a good size and the open plan kitchen diner lent itself perfectly to entertaining friends and family. Everyone loved it and it and I was actually quite sad when it was time to come home. Would I stay again - absolutely.
Dr Beaumont, West Yorkshire
,Orchard Cottage is in a great position, set in countryside with walks from the door, but still only 10 minutes drive into the centre of Durham. It has a fantastic hot tub which the kids used every day, come rain or shine! A brilliant and comfy base for a holiday!
