The cottage owners were extremely welcoming and helpful, giving us local walks to do and places to go. The property was very tastefully done which was especially nice to find when you take dogs, you often get shabby not chic! The location was stunning; fabulous scenery, great garden backing on to the river with lovely patio and seating areas, even lit by fairy lights when it got dark! Just everything a cottage should be; clean, well equipped, nicely decorated & furnished and in a great location.
Ms Shields, West Yorkshire
,Bilberry Nook Cottage is perfect in every way. Weardale is a little known hidden gem of an area and the cottage is well placed to visit many local attractions in Durham, Northumberland and Cumbria. The décor is tasteful, with lots of personal touches and the cottage is well equipped with everything needed for a self catering holiday. One of the best cottages we've stayed in.
Mrs Aveyard, West Yorkshire
,One of the best presented cottages we have ever stayed in, the owners had gone above and beyond to make our Xmas in their cottage special. Just perfect sums it up. Very highly recommended, we will be booking again soon.
,The friendliness of the owners was brilliant, they made our comfort and needs their top priority. The place is set between some great walks, perfect for us with the dogs. The kids really enjoyed the things to do around the area too. We would definitely come back.
Mr Bray, West Yorkshire
,The cottage was immaculate, and the service from the owners was second to none. Would have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation, five stars!
Mrs Cowles, Essex
,The cottage was lovely and clean and the back garden was excellent, straight down onto the river, great for dogs. The owners are great hosts, kept themselves to themselves but were there to advise on walks etc.
,A great cottage in a lovely village. The property was very well equipped and furnished - obviously a lot of thought had gone into it.
,Billberry Nook Cottage was beautiful, over and above with amenities. Couldn't have asked for more!
,A quiet location, and the cottage was very spacious and well equipped. There was a nice garden and walks on the doorstop.
Mrs Lovell, Somerset
,The cottage was beautiful, all new and spotless. The owners were lovely and accommodating. The surroundings are a pleasure, especially the river at the bottom of the garden. Had a lovely relaxing holiday. Would recommend to anyone, especially if you want a holiday with your dogs.
Mr & Mrs Hancock,
,Bilberry Nook Cottage is a beautifully decorated and spacious cottage, with a lovely big patio door overlooking the garden and river at bottom of the garden. Bilberry Nook Cottage gives easy walking access to the Weardale way, miles of signposted walking beside the river Wear. The owner, Joanne, runs a beauty therapy business offering 10% discount to cottage guests. I had a wonderful massage from her. Having a pub nearby with their own microbrewery and delicious food was very handy!
Mrs Davies, South Yorkshire

Mrs Murray, North Lanarkshire
