The location of the cottage was marvellous, overlooking the sea.The decor of the whole cottage was wonderful and we were very comfortable. The underfloor heating kept the rooms cosy. Also impressed that the saucepans/bakeware were non-stick and there was a dishwasher, so that meant we could spend even more time relaxing and enjoying the views. Bed was very comfy and only a two minute walk to the local friendly pub. Ideal location for getting into Scotland or the Lakes. Incredible value for money. We highly recommend!
Rev Atkins, Greater Manchester
,An amazing place, we have loved our stay. The cottage had everything (and more) that you could possibly want and all so beautifully and thoughtfully put together. There are brilliant walks from the cottage, you could stay a week and not use your car. It is peaceful and really off the beaten track and feels like a real escape, but within a reasonable time you can be in the heart of the Lake District or over the border into Scotland. It was wonderful, we couldn't find a single fault!
Mr Warriner, West Yorkshire
,A fantastic week away. The location is perfect, offering an uninterrupted view of the Solway Firth and the constant changing of the tides was great to witness. Everything about the cottage was perfect and spotlessly clean. All the equipment you could need and the owners have put together lots of useful information to get the most out of your stay. A great location for a break away from it all to properly unwind.
Miss Sandom, West Yorkshire
,It was in a fantastic location with a stunning view of the estuary. The cottage is very new, having just been completed in September, so everything is new, fresh and clean. The beds are comfy, the toilets, shower room and bath are all of a very high standard, and the kitchen/lounge open area allows you to cook whilst still being in the company of your friends or family.
Mr Clark, Lancashire
,There were plenty of places to visit and things to do, also the wildlife and bird life in the area. The views were stunning looking out over the firth and looking at Scotland.
Mr Kelly, Greater Manchester
,A fantastic place to holiday. Views over Solway Firth were great even in winter. The owner was charming and very helpful.
Mrs Craig, North Lanarkshire
,An excellent property with high quality fixtures and fittings which had been thought out really well. The view from the balcony was superb and the access to the shore was great. An example of the attention to detail was demonstrated when we had a short power cut after dark and low level emergency lighting cut in, well thought out. The owner has provided an excellent library of books music and DVDs. We will visit again hopefully.
,An exceptional holiday cottage, obviously a lot of thought had been given to requirements & comfort. A stunning setting.
Mrs Madden, Leicestershire
,I was so impressed with the cottage and the location. Everything was spotless, it had a lovely homely feel and we settled in straight away. It had everything we needed and it soon felt like home. The view from the cottage were stunning, something I could definitely get used to. There was so much to do and see, we were left with lots of leaflets and brochures on the attractions which was very helpful because I wouldn't have known where to start otherwise! Definitely one of the most stunning locations in the UK I've ever been to. Would love to come back next year and visit more of this incredible place, thank you for an amazing holiday!

,Solway Cottage is a beautiful cottage with stunning views over the Solway sound. The cottage had all you need and more. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The only thing missing was the sun, so we couldn't use the beautiful sun deck and BBQ, but from inside we could enjoy the views as well.
,We were made very welcome and the Cottage was very well equipped and there were great views.
