Swallows Farm

Swallows Farm is a wonderful, detached period farmhouse situated in glorious South Yorkshire countryside, on the outskirts of the village of Sykehouse. The cottage offers eight bedrooms set over three floors, including a double room with a shower and basin, three twin rooms, a family room with a double and a single bed and en en-suite bathroom, an adult bunks room, two double rooms on the second floor and a single bed on the large second floor landing. There is a first floor family bathroom with a roll-top bath and a ground floor bathroom. There is also a kitchen with a dining area and two sitting rooms with woodburning stoves. Outside, there is ample off road parking, a garden to the front and side of the cottage with furniture and a hot tub. Swallows Farm is a wonderful base for friends and families exploring the south of Yorkshire, all year round.

Electric double oven and 7-ring ceramic hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, 2 x TVs (1 with Sky Sports, 1 with Freeview), DVD, CD/radio, WiFi, selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel, power and starter pack for stoves inc. in rent, wood available to purchase from owner. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Please bring your own hot tub towels. Travel cot and highchair. Ample off road parking. Front and side garden with hot tub, furniture, BBQ and orchard. Two well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 4 miles, pub 10 mins walk. Note: Dogs to be kept in kitchen and first sitting room with tiled floor. Note: There is a lockable door linking the family room and first floor twin. Note: The ground floor bedroom and bathroom may be suitable for wheelchair users; the bathroom has a removable bath seat and grab handles, contact the owner for more details. Note: Stabling available by separate arrangement with owner. Note: Outside catering available all year round for seven people minimum, by prior arrangement with owner. Note: Check-in 4pm.

Property Feedback

The cottage was very clean and welcoming. The owners/hosts were very helpful and couldn't do enough to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. There was plenty of room for everyone, the kitchen was beautiful and large, and the tiled floor is very easy to wash and keep clean - particularly important if you have young children/toddlers and/or a dog. The property is dog friendly, we were so grateful we could bring our little dog with us. There is easy access to the back garden which is very large/spacious and important for dog owners. The garden was clean and had plenty of room to play games. Perhaps the highlight of the property is the hot tub and the fireplace. The hot tub is excellently located near the back door and everything was beautifully tidy. The fireplace was a great feature to have, particularly in the evening whilst watching TV. The property has a sky box and Internet Wifi access, excellent to keep the family entertained and also if you want to keep in touch with your work or business. It was just perfect for us. We plan on returning and making this a regular holiday break for us and our family.

,Our extended Family (9 adults and 5 children under 7) had a great weekend at Swallow Farm. The house was well furnished with plenty of beds and bedroom space. The biggest bonus was the hot tub, the children and some of the adults could not get enough of it. The owner and manager were helpful but not intrusive. Would definitely use it again.
