I have to say, we liked everything. The cottage and the owners were wonderful and the views from the cottage were stunning. We chose to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary there and we couldn't have chosen a better place. We didn't want to leave!
,Lovely location, fantastic views and great walks. Everything about this cottage is perfect.
Mr Richardson, west Yorkshire
,The hosts welcome was very warm and information given was helpful. The standard of furnishings and equipment in the cottage was excellent. There was a lot of space in the sitting room and the panoramic views from the windows were wonderful. The location is superb for walking with walks from the doorstep. In general we had a brilliant walking holiday and I would recommend the cottage unreservedly.
,We had a wonderful, peaceful holiday in the cottage. The owners were really friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. If you would like a warm, romantic cottage with wonderful views across fields then this is the cottage for you. We saw some wildlife including a dipper, greater spotted woodpecker, robins, blue tits - most of these were seen in the garden. There are also beautiful walks right outside the house. A great place to come to.
,Fantastic cottage, a real home from home. Well situated with lots of walks from front door and amazing views from the cottage. The cottage was very well equipped.
Mr Warren, Suffolk
,Very comfortable and quiet surroundings. The cottage was ideally located for shops/pubs and several good walks. The owners were very welcoming. The view from the lounge was outstanding with a variety of birds and wildlife. We would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a quiet break.
Mrs Edwards, Cumbria
,A very well presented warm and cosy cottage with fantastic views. Had great walks straight from the house.
Mrs Adamson, Gloucestershire
,The cottage had everything we needed and beautiful views from every window. Had comfortable furnishings and an excellent bed. My wife and I had a very relaxing holiday with 2 or 3 days good weather, but were still able to enjoy the ever changing views from the windows. There was lots of wildlife with birds ever present. Will go again.
Mr Harrison, Tyne and Wear
,A marvellous cottage for two people. Well appointed and comfortable. We will be returning.
Prof Carter, NC
,A wonderfully peaceful bolt hole, yet with easy access to Grassington. A lovely welcome by the owners who could not have been more friendly or helpful.
,As soon as we arrived we were met by the owner who explained everything and then we were left on our own. The view from the lounge was everything that we expected. We were especially pleased that we did not have to take the car out as there were lots of lovely walks straight from the property. All maps for these walks were available for us to use at the property. We were confident that if we needed anything that the owner would be happy to oblige. Everything about the cottage was what we expected and more.
Ms Sleath, Lincolnshire
,Thank you to the owners for the warm and friendly reception. The cottage was beautiful, comfortable and everything we had hoped it would be. We will definitely be back!
Mrs Le Roux,
,Monkholme Cottage had stunning views of the the Yorkshire Dales. It was lovely to wake up each morning to such a beautiful landscape. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely return to this cottage, it was very cosy and peaceful.
Mrs Gardner, Essex
,This cottage was very conveniently situated, it is in easy walking distance to Grassington, Linton, and of course to the excellent nearby pub in Threshfield. The views from the sitting room are sensational, and the owners, who live next door, were extremely friendly and helpful.
Mr Rookwood, Gloucestershire
,The moment we walked in the door we felt at home. Monkholme Cottage is tastefully decorated and furnished, with superb views over the garden and surrounding hills. The owners welcomed us as friends but were not intrusive. We loved the little touches like the bird feeder outside the french doors and the food for the birds in the shed. We found the details about walks to the village invaluable but this is not just a cottage for walkers, it is a lovely base to stay put in or go out from.
