Stevenson House is a marvellous, Grade II listed, detached conversion of a farmhouse and attached barn, situated overlooking the Calder Valley just one mile from Hebden Bridge. The cottage can sleep twelve people in five bedrooms, including a super king-size four poster double with en-suite shower room, two super king-size double bedrooms (zip/link, can be twin on request) with additional single beds on request (one a large 3’ 6” single bed and one a single stacker bed) and en-suite shower rooms, a king-size double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, a ground floor 2’ 6” twin (zip/link, can be king-size double on request) with en-suite shower room. There is also a kitchen with dining areas and sitting area, a utility, a dining room with electric stove, a sitting room with Hunter woodburning stove, a snug with Jotul woodburning stove and a mezzanine minstrel’s gallery snug/library. Outside there is ample off road parking, lockable bike and equipment storage, lawned gardens and elevated large flat playing field, a summerhouse with decking and a pond, two patio areas with furniture and a barbecue. There are also six acres of grounds with woodlands, wild pastures and streams to explore. For exploring the Yorkshire Dales with friends and family, Stevenson House is a perfect, luxurious retreat for all.

Electric range cooker with 4 ovens and 6 zone hob, built-in microwave, fridge/freezer, drinks fridge, washer/dryer, dishwasher, 3 x TVs with Freeview (one with Roku Streaming), DVD, CD/radio, iPod dock, portable WiFi speaker, WiFi, Nintendo Wii and games, folding pool/snooker table, selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel, power and starter pack for stoves inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot and highchair. Ample off road parking. Lawned gardens and elevated large flat playing field, plus goalposts. Lockable summerhouse (for bike and equipment storage) with decking and pond, two patio areas with furniture and BBQ. Six acres of grounds with woodlands, wild pastures and streams. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shops, pub and golf course 1 mile. Note: Grounds include steep banks, woods, unfenced ponds and streams, children to be supervised. Note: Catering available by prior arrangement with owner. Note: There is a spring water supply which is the only source of water. There is a three filter/high pressure pump system and ultraviolet light purification. Note: The six acres are for the private use of guests but there are two public footpaths crossing the grounds that are rarely used. Note: Check-in 4pm, check-out 10am.

This is an excellent property for a large group. Very spacious with plenty of room both indoors and out with a high standard of en suites to every room. We particularly loved the large barn sitting room where all the family could gather in the evening with space to play or just chill out together. The owners have ensured guests a most harmonious break with their attention to detail.
