We had a lovely week at Furnace Cottage. It is well located, in a quiet hamlet yet just a short drive to shops and restaurants in Ulverston, as well as being close to many attractions. We were able to enjoy both the lakes and the beach from this location, without long car journeys.
We received a very warm welcome on arrival and the owner was very helpful, providing additional information on local activities during our stay. The accommodation is excellent, the cottage is warm and well equipped with everything we could need for a home from home holiday. Our 3 young children loved playing in the garden (and secret garden!) and enjoyed watching the lambs in the field across from the cottage, as well as walking In the woods at the back.
,A beautiful unique cottage in a stunning area. It was well equipped and good value for money.
Miss Pheely, Angus
,Great location for exploring southern Lakes. Lovely walk into Ulverston. Great layout for us, 2 twin bedrooms plus a double and plenty of parking.
Mrs Pretlove, Greater Manchester
,A lovely, clean, welcoming, warm and well equipped cottage. Great place to spend Christmas with family. It was tastefully decorated and with many thoughtful touches which made it a home from home! Very close to Ulverston with its many independent shops, classic cinema and wonderful Booths! We'll be back!
,The cottage was very well situated for visiting all the Lakeland areas. It was value for money and the parking space was excellent for three cars. It was near attractions for all ages which was great for our three generation family holiday.
Mr Southall, Lincolnshire
,The property was well placed and 6 people found it easy to not get in each others way whilst doing their own thing on occasions. The owner and her daughter were very welcoming and concerned for our comfort. We had a lovely time.
