Warm cosy, welcoming, friendly and generally an excellent standard. This has been our our second visit and will not be our last.
Mrs Hulme, lancs
,The cottage was beautiful, the owners friendly, helpful but not intrusive. The log fire was particularly appreciated to add to the cosiness on a November evening. The bed was very comfortable, all in all a real home from home. We will definitely be back and we are already recommending the cottage to friends and family.
Mrs Arckless, Buckinghamshire
,The Granary is comfortable and well-equipped for four to five people. The owners are courteous and helpful. The house is in a quiet and tranquil setting with pleasant views of the surrounding hills, but we were surprised at the number of interesting places we could visit within a short drive.
Mr Marshall, Hertfordshire
,Wonderful accommodation. The location was so peaceful and had beautiful views. The owners were so friendly and helpful, which went a long way to making this a great holiday. We will definitely return.
,Friendly and helpful owners. The cottage is in a nice location with a good feel to the property. I felt relaxed and at home there from the start.
,The cottage was really lovely with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. It was extremely comfortable inside with plenty of space for the four of us. This is a great place to stay.
,The views from every window were fantastic and the owners were very friendly and helpful. This was our second time visiting and we are already thinking of a third visit.
,After having spent several years visiting the UK and staying in many cottages, The Granary is up there with the best of them. The owners were great hosts, the cottage was faultless, and the area and views were wonderful. We felt very privileged to have stayed there.
Ms Williams, New South Wales
,The cottage was better than 5 star and the owners where very helpful with the area. We could not expect more of the accommodation and the access to things to do in the Durham area.
Mr Wenham, Devon
,We loved the wonderful country views from the cottage and garden. The cottage was well equipped and cosy providing a relaxing break for all the family.
Mrs Mather, Greater Manchester
,Lovely cottage in superb location with helpful owners.
Rev Wade, Cornwall
,This is a beautiful cottage and should be rated as 4 star not 3 star. We had a lovely and comfortable holiday. The views from the cottage were fantastic. My two little dogs made themselves at home as soon as we got into the cottage. The fenced off garden was brilliant. The owners could not have been any more friendly and helpful.
,I feel the three star rating of the property is misleading as we have stayed in a number of 4 star rated properties that are not as good as this! The property is excellent and the owners warm and welcoming. The views from the gardens and the conservatory are wonderful. The cottage is an ideal base for visiting a beautiful and interesting area of our country.
Mr Edmondson, Lancashire
,The cottage was well equipped and comfortable. We loved the beautiful countryside setting it was so relaxing to sit in the garden and enjoy the panoramic views and listen to the sound of bird song.
Mrs Mather, Greater Manchester
,We liked the very friendly and helpful owners. We also liked the quiet and peaceful location and very comfortable cottage.
,The comfort, cleanliness and location of the property is outstanding. The views from every window are breath-taking. The walk-in modern power-shower was much appreciated by all of us, especially the three teenage grand-daughters! The cottage is a pleasure to return to after a day out. We would not hesitate to re-book another holiday here as it is truly one of the best properties we have ever stayed in.
