Edmundbyers is a very friendly and relaxing place to stay. The scenery is fantastic. The local pub served excellent food and is dog friendly (as is Wayside Cottage)
You are only 30 minutes drive from lots of historic and interesting places. We hope to go again in 2015
Wayside cottage has every thing you require for a very cosy stay, it is warm and very comfortable. We had the most relaxing time and our dog loved it.
,The complimentary wine flowers and general facilities the property offered. We liked the fact that there was no compromise on standard just because they allowed dogs to stay - which was a big use for us. It was home-from-home. Everybody was so friendly. It was a good base to travel from to the various walks around the beautiful countryside. The village pub was lovely and the food amazing! Thank you.
Ms Redfearn, East Riding of Yorkshire
,Had a lovely weekend at this delightful cosy cottage. Had everything we needed for a pleasant stay with a nice real open fire. We enjoyed some nice home cooked meals at the Punchbowl pub which was just across the road from the cottage and they made us feel very welcome with our little dog Ralph. Will definitely stay there again :-)

,A great cottage in a great location with a very warm welcome from the owner.

,The Cottage was everything we expected, it was cosy, clean and in a lovely village. We were able to relax with our dog and go for long walks when we felt like it.
