This is our third visit to Cuckoostone Cottage and it certainly won't be our last. We simply cannot fault it. We are a party with an age range from 4 to 80 and this cottage meets the needs of everyone. It is warm, cosy and so well appointed. The owner is very welcoming and friendly - nothing is too much trouble. Our 4 year old son particularly likes the animals and going out to see Ned the donkey every day. Spot on!
Miss Weldrake, Bristol
,Couldn't fault the property in any way - a real home from home.
Mr Gibson, glos
,Quiet, excellent views, peaceful and relaxing. Had a warm welcome from the owners - nothing was too much trouble. The well equipped kitchen meant we could have a belated Christmas cook in and then collapse in front of the wood burner. Had a lovely large porch for the storage of boots, coats and doggy towels.
Miss Thomas, Norfolk
,Cuckoostone Cottage was a delight, as was the animals. Particularly liked the lambs, and of course the views were stunning.
Mrs Walker, Lincolnshire
,"Cuckoostone was probably the most well equipped cottage we have ever stayed in with lots of kitchen implements. The cottage was lovely and warm; easy to heat with everything on one level. There was the added bonus of a bathroom per bedroom. The owner could not have been a better hostess and the cottage was in a lovely situation; secluded and quiet but central for a whole host of interesting places."
,A beautiful location with wonderful views over the Derbyshire countryside but not too isolated, only ten minutes into Matlock for shops and restaurants etc. It was a lovely roomy cottage, each bedroom having its own bathroom was very useful. A great holiday.
Mrs Mott, East Sussex
,The best cottage we have been to so far. A real country cottage with good views and surrounded by animals.
Mr Mountain, Lancashire
,The cottage was first class, in lovely quiet location, with beautiful views and the owners were very friendly and helpful.
,A wonderful property in beautiful surroundings. We had a fabulous holiday there and would recommend to anyone who enjoys the countryside.
,This is our fourth visit to Cuckoostone Cottage. As always a most pleasant welcome from the owners and a most enjoyable stay. The cottage is warm and comfortable and meets our needs in every way. We hope to return for a fifth visit some time soon.
Miss Weldrake, Bristol
,Lovely owners and a cosy warm cottage with lots of amenities. The log fire is a treat, and the sofas and beds were comfy, couldn't ask for more! The location is beautiful and convenient to Matlock, Chatsworth and Chesterfield. A lovely place to stay if you have children. Would highly recommend.
Miss Bowden, Merseyside
,The cottage was absolutely delightful. It was far above what we expected, it was much bigger and had everything we needed and more. We can't wait to return.
Mrs Lewis, West Yorkshire
,We had a fantastic time Cuckoostone Cottage, it was the best equipped that we have ever stayed in. The location was as described and perfect with beautiful views. The owner was a lovely host, but didn't interfere but was there if we needed anything. She was kind and patient with my young children showing us the animals, even got them to help her feed the sheep and bring them into their barn at night.
Mrs O'sullivan, Co.cork
,Always a pleasure to return to the very peaceful and relaxing comfort provided by Cuckoostone and the enjoyment of so many different birds and animals, will hope to return yet again.
Mr Mitson, Suffolk
,This was our third visit, it is a beautiful cottage in lovely position with lots to do in Derbyshire. The owners are super and always helpful. We will be back next year if we can.
,The cottages was lovely and well equipped. We had a lovely week.
,This is our third holiday in this property, which should say it all. The welcome from the owner and the lovely cottage itself make this a superb holiday choice. We enjoy seeing the animals close to the property. It's a quiet location, apart from the occasionally noisy Guinea Fowl. Cuckoostone Cottage is close to many great attractions in Matlock and the Peak District.
