Set in the small rural village of Snainton, a mile from Barnard Castle, this mid-terraced cottage makes a lovely cosy base for a romantic break or family holiday. There are two bedrooms, a double with an en-suite shower room, and a twin. There is also a family bathroom, a kitchen/diner and a sitting room with an electric fire in an attractive fireplace. Outside, a small front garden with furniture makes an ideal spot for a BBQ, and there is also off road parking for a few cars. Barnard Castle has a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as the castle ruins, riverside walks and narrow cobbled alleyways to explore. Celebrated a birthday here at Peace Cottage. A lovely quiet area, friendly village, warm and cosy cottage. Ideal for a couple wanting to get away on their own - a little romantic hideaway. Would have liked to have been able to stay longer.

Sharon Blacker, West Yorkshire
,The cottage was an excellent property for a quiet and peaceful Christmas break. It was also situated not far from other larger towns and cities should you wish to see further afield. The cottage provided all that was necessary and more for our holiday, with a few Christmas decorations to make it feel more homely and festive.
,A lovely cottage with top quality furnishings and equipment.
Mrs Holmes, North Yorkshire
,A great cottage, very well presented and equipped.
Miss Schofield, West Yorkshire
,We had the most wonderful stay at Peace Cottage - actually surpassed all expectations. It was cosy, very warm and well equipped. Perfect for us with a dog too - plenty of room for the dog to stay in the kitchen. Also, there were lovely soft white towels and plenty of them and the water was hot with plenty of it. We just loved it - perfect for exploring the surrounding area and I would not hesitate to return there for more visits.
,Despite some poor weather we were cosy & warm in this wonderfully furnished cottage. The owner was kind & helpful. This is an excellent base for touring, walking or just resting. We have already booked to come back.
Mr Axten, Aberdeenshire
,Peace Cottage is appropriately named for the lovely peaceful, beautiful surroundings. The cottage was very very clean and very well maintained. The kitchen was very well equipped and spacious and I couldn't think of anything that was missing. The décor was very attractive throughout the house especially the bedrooms. It was extremely comfortable and a very relaxing place to be. The enclosed front garden was ideal for our small dog. Having had some sunny weather, the table and chairs outside came in very useful. We thoroughly enjoyed our short break and didn't want to leave.
,The cottage was so comfortable and a home from home, it was a pleasure to stay there.
,One of the better dog friendly cottages we have stayed in, the wifi was particularly useful. Peace Cottage is very spacious and clean, and car parking facilities were good as you could park right outside the property which was a big help when loading and unloading luggage.
Mrs Nasim, South Yorkshire
