We had a lovely time for several reasons; the owners were particularly welcoming and the cottage is perfectly located in a very quiet part of the Lakes so we had great walking without too many other visitors. The views from the cottage and the surrounding farm and countryside were wonderful. We will definitely be recommending the cottage to our family and friends and hope to return some time soon.
,The location is stunning. To wake up to the beautiful view of the Duddon Valley each morning is a recipe for instant de-stressing. You are in the middle of sparsely populated, dramatic Lakeland fells, moors and fields with many walks, both from the doorstep and slightly further afield.
Ms Pratten, North Yorkshire
,Had a warm welcome and ongoing interaction with the owners throughout the holiday. An excellent location and wonderful walks from the door. The scenery from the cottage was stunning. It was quiet, with birdsong in the morning and the sound of the river below.
, The cottage was set in the midst of beautiful unspoilt countryside. It was very quiet and a great retreat from the noise and bustle of the modern world. There was a terrace garden with tables and chairs with lovely views down the Duddon valley. The lounge was large and could easily be used by 7-8 people without feeling cramped. The countryside around is great for walking, so unless you want to walk elsewhere, you could easily spend an enjoyable week exploring the local area.
Mr Price, Herefordshire
,The cottage is spacious and well equipped, there are many amazing walks from the doorstep.

,There are amazing views from picnic table area which was excellent for children / dogs. The lounge was spacious and very comfortable - unusual to get really comfy chairs! It was also peaceful and quiet.
Mrs Rumble, Flintshire
, Comfortable and roomy accommodation with helpful landlord living next door. We liked the remoteness and fantastic countryside which was readily accessible from the property itself.
Mr Wike, Wiltshire
,The location and scenery were second to none. The cottage was very comfortable - a home from home. We could not ask for more and we will definitely return. The whole holiday was superb. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone who wants to explore the south lakes.
Mr Daniels, West Midlands

Mr Whiteley, Lancashire

Mrs Mcavity, Cambs
,Stunning old farmhouse with amazing views. Very peaceful and situated in an ideal area for walking and cycling. The owners were very friendly. The log fire was very nice. The beds were very comfortable and the bedding was warm and clean. We really hope to return.
Mrs Mitchell, North Yorkshire
,High Kiln Bank Cottage is an excellent, beautiful house located in a quiet and peaceful part of the Lake District. It was the perfect base for exploring the Western Lake District. The owners met us when we arrived and explained how everything works at the house, which was helpful. The kitchen was well stocked and all the appliances were new and user-friendly.
Mrs Van Buchem, Cambridgeshire
,The cottage is in a beautiful location and there is plenty of room around it for playing with the children or just enjoying the sunshine. There are lots of walks from the cottage and the area is generally quieter than other parts of the Lakes.
