Fantastic property, we've stayed twice now. The overall experience is second to none.
Mr Roberts, Hampshire
,Peaceful location, spacious and lots of light. Well appointed with an excellent kitchen and good bathrooms. Loved the open fire which we only lit once as the weather was incredible for the end of November. There were loads of unusual birds on the balcony feeders which kept one of our dogs occupied for hours as he watched through the windows. The residents who lived next door were also very friendly and helpful.
Mr Measor, Durham
,Lingmell was absolutely stunning, the amenities were excellent and we didn't want to leave!!
,The property was probably one of the best we have ever hired and we've hired quite a few! The stair gate was a nice touch.
Mrs Robinson, Moray
,The house is very nice with everything you could ever need. It is in a beautiful setting and is divided into two separate annexes so if you want to stay with family but have your own space it's ideal. The big window looking out over the garden and bird feeders was lovely, especially with the log fire burning. Our dogs loved the grounds and it was nice that we didn't have to worry about them too much as we were well away from the road. We have booked again to come back at a better time of year but it made a lovely winter break.
Mr Carter, North Yorkshire
,We loved the large windows which framed the beautiful grounds so brilliantly. The bathrooms were very modern and tastefully decorated, which is very important to us. As were the lovely soft beds. We also thoroughly enjoyed the real fire in the evenings.
Mrs Herd, Merseyside
,We loved the accommodation and will definitely look to re-visit in the future. This was our first time staying in the Lake District and couldn't have wished for a better location or accommodation.
Mr Collins, Surrey
,The extra accommodation adownstairs at Lingmell worked very well and gave two parties extra privacy. The setting was very nice and private and the balcony was a great asset.
Mrs Law, North Yorkshire
,Although this is attached to another property, you would never know. The balcony is a superb addition, we sat there for hours with coffee in morning and wine in evening. It is a brilliant quiet setting with easy access to the South and West Lakes and Fells. This has to be the best cottage I have stayed in.
Mr Searle, South Glos
,A very well appointed holiday property, indeed with ample space for individual down-time if required. There is a large garden area for hounds and children to play in, away from the road so no need to worry about children/hounds straying onto it. Absolutely first class all round.
