Cottage was comfortable, clean and had everything needed! Would use that cottage again if I go to the area again and would recommend it to anyone. Excellent!
,Beautiful cottage in a lovely area 2 minutes from all amenities including Town/Village Centre. Quiet and peaceful just what we wanted.
Mr Leitch, West Dunbartonshire
,We had a very comfortable stay at Hawthorn Cottage. A friendly welcome, lots of visitor ideas/walking guides and a comfortable base for our holiday.
Ms Lamb, Northumberland
,We loved our stay at Hawthorn Cottage. The location was perfect; only a 2 minute walk from the marketplace and convenience stores, and 7 minutes from the train station from where you can explore Barrow, the Cumbrian Coast, and further afield as far as Lancaster, Preston and Carlisle. The cottage was newly renovated and the perfect size for a romantic and peaceful break away. It was small enough to feel cosy while big enough for you both to escape each other for a couple of hours! The cottage had all the essentials you'd need. The log fire simply topped it off as well as the friendly neighbours and the garden wildlife! We were very happy with our rural retreat!
Miss Woodhead, Lancashire

,The best holiday cottage we have had, we are so impressed that we have now booked the same cottage for 2016.
Mr Stone, Worcestershire

Mr Deacon, London
,A very comfortable and charming cottage perfectly sited just outside of Ulverston town centre. It was very clean and tidy with a very welcoming owner too. There was a big comfortable bed and huge bath in the bathroom. Ulverston is a great town with lots to do, see and enjoy within walking distance of this super cottage.
,The cottage had a cosy atmosphere and the standard of décor and fittings within the cottage were very high.
Mrs Gardiner, East Lothian
,Lovely bright, comfortable, spotlessly clean Cottage. The Cottage owners were lovely, helpful and friendly too.
,This is one of the best I have stayed in.
,This cottage was stunning! Couldn't fault anything! Had a gorgeous log burner, and a quaint, cosy feel to the cottage! It was close to the town centre with all essentials on your doorstep and had easy access to South Lakes for long walks. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. We will definitely be returning. Thanks.
Miss Brookes, Staffordshire
,It was tastefully furnished and deceptively spacious, very cosy and spotlessly clean. The location was ideal - a couple of minutes walk into Ulverston town with pubs, tea shops, shops, and yet the cottage was quiet with minimal traffic on the road, and there was a pleasant outlook from the rear of the property.
Mrs Clarke, Midlothian
,The cottage was perfect! It was extremely comfortable and a perfect walking distance to the town centre. The owner was wonderful; a good representative of the warm and kind people of Ulverston, she made sure we were well taken care of.
,Hawthorn Cottage was excellent. It had everything you could want and more. The cottage was immaculate, had a very comfortable bed and was situated in a great location. The owners of the cottage couldn't have been more helpful. We will definitely be returning .
,We used to live in this town, in a similar cottage, and this made us feel as if we had come home. It is just lovely, so warm and cosy and perfectly situated. A real gem. Attention to detail is spot on, cleanliness is immaculate, and the hosts are as thoughtful and caring as can be. We loved this place and will stay here next time we are in town.
Mr Craven, Charente-Maritime
,Everything was great! Hawthorn Cottage was ideal and just perfect for a quiet, cozy, weekend getaway. It is near to some nice attractions but, to be honest, I didn't really want to go very far. I did venture to Coniston and to the nearby Conishead Priory meditation centre, both of which had some nice spots for walking the dog.Tastefully decorated with comfortable furnishings appropriate to the character of the house. There is a pleasant view across Ulverston from the back garden. Curling up with a book, with a fire in the wood burner, was just perfect. The cottage is right by the road but it is not busy so it was nice and quiet, with mostly just birdsong audible.
Mr Flynn, Greater Manchester
,Hawthorn Cottage was in a perfect location for nearby walks for the dog, from the doorstep. It had a perfect sized garden for a medium sized dog. The cottage had exceptional facilities; a fabulous double bath and amazing power shower, constantly supplying hot water. The log burner in the front room was perfect and nothing was missed. My partner particularly liked the addition of a dishwasher, allowing him to 'relax' a little more on holiday! The host was very friendly, helpful and only next door if we had any queries.
Miss Gough, Somerset
,Beautiful cottage, great people and a beautiful area. Everywhere was so quiet and clean. Plenty to do and see and fabulous walks for the dog. The bathroom was something from a 5 star hotel and the whole place was so well equipped, clean and comfy.
Mrs Stonier, Conwy
,A comfortable home from home with everything that you could want as a base to explore the Lake District.
