Unique property in a fascinating dockside location. Within walking distance of the whole of Gloucester - cathedral, museums, docks, restaurants, shops, cinema, etc.
Mr Stewart, Tyne & Wear
,Great spot for a holiday or short break, easy walking distance of all sites plus plenty of good eateries. Could not fault cottage well worth a visit. Great place to relax and watch the world go by.
Mr Rhodes, s.yorks
,Excellent property. Loved the position, lovely views, spacious, clean and tidy.
,The house was welcoming and spacious. In a good location, with all amenities within walking distance. Enjoyed being on the Lock and the experience of Gloucester Docks and surrounding areas.
,A very comfortable and cosy property in a great location which is suitable for any time of the year. The pretty garden and lock side location would be pleasant in spring/summer for barbecues and boat watching whilst proximity to the city made it an ideal place for a winter break with the cathedral and shops in walking distance.
Mrs Clarke, HANTS
,The house is cosy, comfortable and relaxing. It's location is perfect to explore local attractions on foot.
Mrs Evans, Cumbria
,Spacious well equipped property, ideal for a walking holiday.
Mrs Windeaty, Greater Manchester
,An excellent location and a charming property that was warm and cosy. The two bathrooms/shower room worked well with 5 adults. It was great having a dishwasher and a wonderful large range cooker. The off street parking is valuable in this location and being a stones throw away from most amenities the cars could remain parked up safely without restrictions. The good eating places close by meant that a glass of wine could be enjoyed by all! We would happily go there again.
,We loved the location of The Lock House and everything about the house itself! We have already booked to go back in September this year. Owners very helpful. Everything and more you could want. The area very dog friendly. All you could possibly want on the door step.
Mrs Herring, Hertfordshire
,Excellent location with 5 minutes walk to Gloucester centre, historic quays and countryside. It was a clean comfortable cottage with a quiet garden at the rear overlooking the river. Ideal property for a family break.
Mrs Kilbourn, Tyne and Wear
,The cottage was very attractive and in the perfect location - a car is useful for exploring, but not essential, as there's a lot to do on the doorstep. It had a pretty garden too. Loved the feeling of being in the countryside even though we were in a city!
