Very comfortable and cosy for a winter break. Extremely well equipped, including necessary washing and cleaning materials, and we particularly liked the welcome pack and special touches for Christmas. Great location with lots of walks all around, and the best spot on site with the river on three sides - very quiet and great for bird spotting.
Mrs Worth, Cumbria
,A well equipped chalet in a lovely river setting.
Mrs Kitterringham, Surrey
,Alder Lodge was in a beautiful position on site - enjoyed watching the wildlife from the lounge, there were squirrels, ducks, geese and heron. It was our first time in Shropshire, lovely countryside and was very close to towns and walks. We thoroughly enjoyed our week.
Mrs Carr, Buckinghamshire
,Alder Lodge was incredibly well appointed. It was very peaceful with plenty of space between properties. The verandah is spacious and the furnishings were of a high standard. All in all this is probably the best value lodge we have stayed at.
Mr Lambird, Caerffili

,We were very impressed with Alder Lodge. The location in the bend of the river was beautiful. The space, warmth, tranquillity and attention to detail of the property all far exceeded our expectations. We will return!
Mrs Tanner, Nottinghamshire
,What a beautiful place! This was the first time that we have booked a lodge to stay in and we absolutely loved it! It was in a fantastic position right next to the river, with incredibly thoughtful owners who have catered for your every need. There is absolutely everything you could possibly need and more besides! Highly recommended. Simply prefect!
,This Lodge was exceptional and felt like a home from home. In a beautiful location, and the collection of books, magazines and DVDs made it an ideal get away.
,Alder Lodge is a beautifully presented lodge in a fantastic location. Loved everything about it. Cozy, warm yet spacious.
,Alder Lodge was extremely comfortable and clean and the finishing touches made it feel very homely. The location of the lodge was perfect; the river running around three sides and the ducks waddling up to see us made it idyllic. We really did not want to leave and will be returning.
