The Barn at Glanoer

The Barn at Glanoer is a stone-built barn conversion, adjoining the owner's home, with its own private entrance, in the grounds of an eight acre smallholding and is situated two miles from the village of Hundred House, close to the market town of Builth Wells in Mid-Wales. This cottage sleeps two people in a mezzanine zip/link super king-size double bedroom with roll-top bath and a glass balcony over-looking the sitting area. The cottage also has a ground floor wet room, and an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with woodburner. Outside there is off road parking for two cars, and a front lawned garden with patio, furniture and barbecue. The Barn at Glanoer is a wonderful romantic retreat with many places to visit and activities to enjoy in the area. Note: Due to the unfenced stream 20 feet away, care should be taken. Note: Dogs must be kept on a lead due to free range chickens and the sheep on surrounding fields. Note: Due to the mezzanine area with the glass balcony, children should be supervised at all times.

Our hosts were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. The location was perfect. The Barn was amazing and so tranquil, a definite must for those looking to get away from the hustle and bustle, you cannot help but be relaxed here.

,We have just returned from a fantastic week away at The Barn. The location is perfect for relaxing and winding down. The view from the large window is amazing, it was beautiful to wake up to on a crisp winters morning. The decor is modern, fresh and spotless, you couldn't ask for anything more - only to stay a bit longer! Thank you for such a wonderful break away, we would have no hesitation in recommending!

,Fantastic holiday cottage, so homely and comfortable. We had a warm welcome with a lovely hamper which had all the essentials to start your holiday. Hospitality from the owners was fantastic. They were there when needed and nothing was too much trouble. Plenty to do in the area if you wanted to head out and about. The Red Kite feeding was amazing but the cottage was perfect just to spend quiet time in relaxing and unwinding . We had a wonderful holiday, a real get away from it all week.

,The owners made us very welcome but gave us privacy too. The location is amazing and the bird life is encouraged to visit by regularly replenished bird feeders. The information booklet was also very practical and informative. We will definitely return to Glanoer.

,Exceptionally well equipped with all of the highest standard - the bed was superb. The welcome was warm and the hosts attentive yet allowed us total privacy. I can't recommend this place highly enough.

,Great base for hiking the surrounding areas, a very relaxing place in a lovely location. The hosts were very helpful and not intrusive in any way. It was great to wake up every morning and look out from the (very comfortable) bed, to see the dawn breaking through the full length glass front, then to sit and watch the many different types of bird that came in to feed from the nut feeders. It was hard to drag ourselves away from this fascinating viewing. Then when we returned after our days hiking, it was great to relax in front of the log burner and watch the stars with a nice glass of wine. Everything we needed was at hand and the owners were great at supplying information about the local area. To sum up, a beautiful place to stay with really lovely people to give you any help or information you require.

,Wow what a fantastic cottage. It is simply beautiful, in a stunning location and has absolutely everything you need. The owners were great and left us to relax while being on hand if we needed anything. Definitely would recommend staying at The Barn - it's a real find.
Mrs Thompson, Surrey
March 2015

,The owners were extremely welcoming and helpful. The hamper of bread, eggs etc was perfect and we loved the treats and toys left for our dog. We also asked for a meal to be provided on the evening of our arrival (as offered on the Glanoer website). This was excellent. Everything was done to make our stay as restful and comfortable as possible. It was no hardship to curl up on the comfy sofa while the rain lashed down outside and watch the numerous birds on the feeders outside our windows.
Mrs Buckle,

,We found The Barn at Glanoer to be absolutely perfect for us and our dog. Inside the first impression is welcoming, practical and comfortable but very attractive. The owners are really nice people and they have everything just right. The Barn is very private and not overlooked. We spent most of the week at The Barn. It was so pleasant and relaxing there that we found no incentive to go anywhere else.

April 2016

,We have stayed here before. We have been staying in this type of accommodation for twenty plus years and it is unusual for us to go back to any holiday cottage unless we found it to be especially good. The Barn at Glanour is certainly one of the best all round packages we have experienced. We are quite likely to book again.
Mr Watson, Buckinghamshire
