The location was amazing- within spitting distance of the NYMR - simply brilliant, it gave the holiday a very special and unique feel to it. Therewere miles of open space all around us, no phone signal and no WiFi- even with 2 teenagers, this was the perfect place for a break away from the stresses of everyday life. The walking was gorgeous. The garden was great for our very lively cocker pup - entirely enclosed. We loved Goathland- just 5 minutes away by car. We found the local people very welcoming even though they must be used to truck loads of tourists. We felt a real sense of loss as we drove away on our last morning....Orchard Cottage was one of the very best holidays we've had. Fantastic place.
Mrs Wright, East Riding of Yorkshire
,Lovely tranquil property, very quiet with an enclosed, secure garden for the dog. Lovely welcome pack from the owners.
Mrs Skelton, Durham
,Our second stay at this idyllic cottage for a much needed end of year rest. Everything was as good second time around and I would recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a getaway.
Mrs Mason, Buckinghamshire
,In a lovely area. The cottage is beautifully renovated whilst also feeling cosy.
Mrs Fishburn, Durham
,The nicest cottage we have stayed in, and a truly relaxing break. Highly recommended.
Mr Cliff, East Riding of Yorkshire
,The cottage was warm and comfortable and the location was perfect, idyllic and peaceful. The use of the orchard and surrounding fields, all safe and enclosed, was wonderful for both children and the dog. The welcome pack on arrival was a lovely touch and the owners were very helpful and friendly. Our short break just wasn't long enough.
Mrs Dermody, Nottinghamshire
,This cottage is in a beautiful rural location, very secluded and perfect for anyone who loves steam trains as they pass by the cottage garden.
Mr Woodhouse, South Yorkshire
,A quality cottage in a quality setting. There is marvellous countryside all around and good walking from the back door. There was masses of useful, up to date information.
Mr Smith, Herefordshire
,This holiday was everything we wanted, and more! The cottage was situated in a great location which was very peaceful and relaxing, even though another holiday cottage was next door, you wouldn't have realised. We couldn't have asked for more, it was ideal for the walk into Goathland along the old railway line and watching the steam trains passing by at the side of the garden, which were not intrusive. We would definitely return to Yorkshire and would have no hesitation in booking the same property, the best cottage we have stayed in.
Mr Mathieson, Suffolk
,The location is fabulous, the enclosed orchard garden is ideal for dogs and the inside furnishings are beautiful. All in all a fantastic holiday.
Mrs Potter, West Yorkshire
,Wonderful relaxing holiday. The Cottage is very comfortable and warm and the internal layout with upstairs kitchen and living room mean great views and really added to the experience. The village of Goathland is close by and is beautiful. Would recommend this Cottage to everyone.
Mr Hendry, Greater Manchester
,A delightful place to stay. The upside down arrangement was very conducive to enjoying the views and the open plan was great for keeping an eye on a young dog. The orchard garden was also good for dog visits as it is safe and contained.
,A beautiful place with just as beautiful a property!
Miss Towler, West Yorkshire
,Love this place! It was a lovely and quiet retreat away from the rat race. Shame we had to leave..
,A beautifully designed and cared for barn conversion, spotlessly clean and very well equipped. We will visit again and recommend to friends.
