North York Moors and Coast, YO18 8QA, GB
Originally built as a hayloft, this property has been lovingly and sympathetically converted to offer accommodation for up to three people. Exposed beams retain some of the cottage's original character and the living accommodation has been arranged in an open-plan style to create a spacious and bright feel. Visitors have shared use of the owner's garden, which offers ample opportunity for a spot of al fresco dining. The cottage also makes a perfect base in the winter months, being heated by oil central heating and an atmospheric wood-burning stove in the sitting room.

This is very comfortable cottage, with friendly and helpful owners in a nice village. The area is terrific and having such a pleasant cottage was a major step towards an excellent holiday. After a busy and tiring day on the moors, the railway or the coast returning journey to the cottage was a nice way to end the day.
Mr Massey, Lincs
,The location of the cottage is set in a quiet little village, Newton Upon Rawcliffe, away from any noise. The village pub is situated directly across the road from the cottage which serves food of generous portions & good quality for a fair price. The cottage was well presented clean & tidy with everything we could need, a home from home. Due to the direct links to areas of interest and local amenities we have both had a relaxing holiday, thank you to the owners and Sykes Cottages.
,It was large and spacious. A warm and very bright cottage, with tall beamed ceilings. The owners were particularly welcoming. Would not hesitate to rebook.
Mrs Barton, Notts
,Our second visit to this particular property and, as the first time, very impressed with all that it offers. The owners were very welcoming and the location of the property lends itself to varying days out, be they coastal or inland. Add to this the outstanding beauty of the moors and countryside together with the numerous walks on offer with our Italian Spinone and it all adds up to a relaxing break. We will be back to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of this small village location.
,Already knew the area fairly well, although not this particular village which was beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. Having stayed in lots of self catering accommodation over the years, it has to be said that this one has surpassed the lot! Top marks to the owners for the standards overall - this hayloft conversion ticks every box for a thoroughly enjoyable holiday in gorgeous surroundings. Have already booked a return visit!
,Beautiful relaxing countryside and excellent accommodation with everything possible that you could need. Had helpful and welcoming hosts on site.
,Had warm, friendly hosts and was in an excellent location for touring around the North Yorkshire Moors and coast. It was delightful accommodation which the photographs do not do justice, it was very cosy and comfortable. We will definitely return!
Mr Mathieson, Inverclyde
,Had a personal friendly welcome, the owners made you feel at home straight away. The Hayloft was extremely comfortable and everything you needed was provided. We would highly recommend this property and hope that it is available the next time we visit that part of North Yorkshire.
,The property is situated in such a superb location and the owners made us feel very welcome. The Hayloft itself catered for all our needs and is a lovely, very comfortable property.
Mrs Millard, Surrey

Mrs Brown, Northamptonshire
,It was our 2nd time at The Hayloft. It was bright, clean, comfortable, in a great setting and with friendly welcoming hosts. We love the peaceful area and it's a brilliant base for a holiday in Yorkshire.
Miss Charman, Wiltshire

Mrs Snowden, Warwickshire
,The Hayloft was home from home, really comfortable and had everything we needed. The location was great, quiet village but near enough to get to lots of places we wanted to visit.
Mrs Parris-long, Bedfordshire
,The Hayloft was even better than we expected from looking at pictures before going. We think it was the best accommodation we have had on any of our UK holidays. It was spacious, light and had lovely views. It was everything we could want was in the property.
Mrs Questier, East Sussex
,This was our second visit to The Hayloft, there was a massive new bathroom suite and lights over the kitchen units. A wonderful view down into Pickering and beyond.
