We liked the location of the cottage, on a farm in the midst of the countryside but with other properties around so that we weren't totally isolated. We love the area and there is a lot to see and do there. What made this property so special was the attention to detail in the furnishings. It was very comfortable with excellent beds, a good fire, lobby for boots and waterproofs, good airing cupboard and just beautiful ornaments, rugs, pictures etc. More like a hotel than a cottage holiday!
Mrs Hartley, Surrey
,This is the third time here, love it love it love it, so peaceful, no noise- just brilliant!
,The photos of the cottage did not do it justice, it was much bigger than expected and the attention to detail was great. The location was excellent for exploring the area.
Mrs Swift, South Yorkshire
,This was the second time we have stayed in this property. We particularly like the position of the cottage, the owner has stables and a farmhouse on the site and there are two rented cottages. The surrounding countryside is wonderful with lots of walking and wonderful bird life. The horses are also very entertaining to watch. The cottage is very warm, comfortable and beautifully furnished. The owners live on site and are very friendly and helpful, they provide a very useful 'welcome' pack.
Mrs Hartley, Surrey
,Great accommodation, great holiday, we would go there again if on holiday in the area.
Mr Wheeler, Hampshire
,Lovely cottage, so peaceful with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. Lots of room inside and I would definitely go again. Thank you for a wonderful place to stay.
Mrs Higgins, Nottinghamshire
,Very cosy cottage. Ideal peaceful location. Within easy reach of many outstanding areas of Northumberland.
Mr Edwards, Lincolnshire
,We absolutely loved our stay. The Byre is brilliantly kitted out with everything you could need and more. The utility room and large built in storage in the hallway were a real bonus. The bedrooms were both comfortable - the twin bedroom has particularly lovely views over the garden and fields. With 2 young children this property was perfect for us with plenty of space to play and explore, with the large shared garden plus the bridal paths. The setting is incredibly tranquil and the sky when the sun sets is beautiful. Thoroughly recommend this property - we will book again!
Mrs Crabtree, Northamptonshire
,It was wonderfully laid back and relaxing. The protected dark skies meant that the stars were beautiful. We took the opportunity to go to the observatory which was only a mile away.
Mr Morley, Tyne and Wear
,A great area, very clean and comfortable accommodation. We had a very lovely stay and would happily come back!
Dr Chenevas-paule, Tyne and Wear
,The accommodation was comfortable, well equipped and in a very peaceful location. There was lots to explore in the lovely countryside within easy reach.
