Wow! The cottage was lovely, better than in the pictures. It was so very spacious with some lovely touches. The enclosed garden was very dog friendly, and our cocker spaniel loved it, so did we. The owners made us feel very welcome, and we feel that they have done everything to a high standard. For a 1 bedroom cottage it was very big, so was the bath. It was always warm and cosy, even on a dull afternoon. Don't have any doubts about booking this cottage as you will not be disappointed, and it was good value for the money.
Mrs Douglass, Cornwall
,A lovely cottage, perfectly situated for exploring Offa's Dyke and the Wye Valley. A well equipped cottage which was very peaceful. There is a local pub serving good food and a friendly crowd to greet you. Great for either a weekend away or a week.
Julie Massen, Cambridgeshire
,A lovely cosy comfortable cottage with pleasant helpful owners. In a good location for walking and exploring with a friendly local pub a few minutes walk.
Mrs Wilson, Cambridgeshire
,An excellent property in a lovely isolated environment. The cottage was full of character and had very good owners who were very helpful and unobtrusive.
Mr Butcher, Lancashire
,We had an excellent holiday in this lovely old cottage. It was full of character and exactly as described. The facilities were very good, especially the large shower and bath, and the huge bed. The garden was fully enclosed and ideal for our small dog. The cottage is in a very pleasant small village and near to a nice pub. There are many walks direct from the door in the scenic countryside. Highly recommended!
Mr Hipperson, Norfolk
,A wonderful cottage in beautiful peaceful surroundings. An excellent base for a relaxing break or for touring around the area.
,Had very friendly owners who were always available if required. Had an excellent shower and very comfortable beds. Everything that was needed was supplied. An absolute quality place to stay.
Mr Ward, Cornwall
,The owners really made an extra effort to make sure you had everything you would want and it was the cleanest cottage I have stayed in. The garden is secure and lovely, and the cottage was very well equipped. The owners have gone to a lot of trouble to make it great. What a great place.
Mrs Green, Essex
,Chimney Cottage is in a beautiful area with lovely local walking that's not too demanding! There is a lot to do within a 15 mile radius. It was an attractive, well appointed cottage that fits the 'chocolate box' ideal. It is fortunate enough to be just a few doors away from a lovely 'local' pub that does pub grub. It is adjacent to the owners property, but it is private and has its own secluded garden with good quality outdoor seating.
Mrs White, Kent
,We enjoyed staying at this lovely cottage. The owners were very helpful and not intrusive. It was ideal for our dog, we all enjoyed the walks and the scenery. We would like to come back again in the future and would not hesitate to recommend the property.
,A beautiful, deceptively spacious, well equipped cottage. A home from home with everything you might need. A fantastic base to visit the many interesting places in the area. For a relaxed, carefree holiday we can definitely recommend Chimney Cottage.
,Chimney Cottage was delightful, everything we needed was provided for a comfortable week's stay. We had a wonderful time exploring the local lanes and footpaths with our dog, the area was very tranquil. The garden was ideal - a good size for us to relax in and there was plenty of space for our dog to run around. The local pub, a minute's walk away, was friendly and the food was good. We would definitely stay here again.
Mrs Mcdermont, Gwynedd
,Chimney Cottage is spacious, well presented and the owners are lovely. We had a fantastic week, all in all a great holiday and we will be returning in spring next year.
Mr Swift, East Riding of Yorkshire
,My wife and I had a fabulous holiday and staying at Chimney Cottage made it extra special. Lingen is a lovely quiet village and extremely well placed to allow you to explore the beautiful surrounding countryside. There is great walking straight from the cottage door and in the wider area. The cottage itself was perfect; spotlessly clean, spacious, well equipped and extremely comfortable; it was a lovely home from home to return to each evening after a days exploring. We couldn't recommend it highly enough and hope to return in the future.
Mrs Nugent, West Midlands
,This was our second stay at Chimney Cottage. The cottage is lovely and cosy with a fabulous bathroom. There are beautiful walks from the cottage. The owners were very friendly and helpful and the cottage is very dog friendly. We found it easy to shut yourself away and relax for the duration of the holiday.
,Chimney Cottage is by far the loveliest cottage we have stayed in; it was very dog friendly with a large, secure garden and the owners were very dog friendly too, their spaniel was a delight and very friendly! The cottage was very cosy and warm whilst feeling spacious too; it had everything you could possibly need including the hose outside for muddy paws! We felt so at home we didn't want to leave! The walks from the cottage were great and the local pub, two minutes walk away and dog friendly was a real treasure.
,A lovely relaxing cottage. Very friendly and helpful owners
Mr Wakeman, West Midlands
,This is our fourth time at this wonderful home from home. The hosts are lovely, the village is friendly and the location is stunning and wonderfully quiet. The cottage is full of character.
Mr Pover, Norfolk
,The cottage was much more spacious than we had expected. It was lovely having the garden to sit in. There was lots of information about the local area which was helpful. It was all perfectly suited to our needs. We loved this cottage and its location. There was a lot to do in the area, both on fine and wet days.
,Twe particularly liked the relaxing environment and overall presentation Chimney Cottage. Can honestly say it was the best cottage that I have stayed at.
,The cottage was very spacious for a 2/3 person property and was also very well equipped. Being part of a 16th century listed building, it was also full of character. The enclosed garden was ideal for our dog as well as for enjoying a glass of wine after one of the numerous walks in the area. The surrounding countryside is very appealing, with rolling hills and quiet lanes. We enjoyed good walks from the cottage as well as on the Offa's Dyke path which is only a short drive away and has gates rather than stiles, making it easier going with the dog. If you enjoy walking and like to get off the beaten track then this is the place for you, especially if you have a dog.
