North York Moors and Coast, YO62 6TJ, GB
This cottage began life as a stone-built hayloft in the 18th Century. It has been lovingly restored and converted to provide charming, contemporary accommodation. The living space is arranged over one level and in an open-plan style. For the winter months, the owners have installed storage heaters and a wood-burning stove, which provides a romantic ambience as well making the property cosy and snug. For the summer evenings and a spot of outdoor dining there is a small patio-garden, complete with garden furniture. There is off-road parking for one car, and the local pub is only two minutes walk away.

Booked in for a last-minute winter break. Cottage was warm and comfortable, even in mid-November, and beautifully furnished. The owners were very welcoming and had even left a bottle of wine in the fridge for when I arrived.
Mr Thacker, Somerset
,We had a lovely time in the cosy Hayloft in the quiet village of Lastingham, amid the glorious scenery of North Yorkshire.
,An excellent cottage in a beautiful village. A very friendly atmosphere and ideally located.
Ms Mather, Greater Manchester
,Lovely, cosy, well appointed accommodation. Set in a beautiful peaceful village with a friendly pub that serves great food and drink.
Mrs Hiorns, England
,The Hayloft was brilliant. There's something great about a cosy place where you've got a wood burner going at night, hot chocolate on the go, and the rain battering outside. There's a beck running next to the drive, and sheep over the other bank. Just a really chilled romantic rural place for two.
Mr White, Surrey
,The accommodation was better than expected and the location was stunning. The owner was helpful but not intrusive.
