The views were outstanding, also it was a very short distance to amenities. All the blue flag beaches and sights on Achill were at the most only a 20 minute drive from the cottage which was great as you didn't tire from travelling. The cottage had a very good selection of DVDs and books to keep you entertained if the weather was too bad to venture out.

,We had a lovely restful time in this charismatic cosy little cottage with beautiful views from nearly every window. It was remote enough to feel 'far from the madding crowd' but in fact close enough to shops when we needed supplies. I would definitely come back- this time in the summer when it would be a totally different experience. The place was spotless and our dogs gave it 5 stars as well!
,Fantastic location and beautiful scenery. A perfect authentic Irish cottage for a peaceful getaway, made all the better by the friendly donkey, Neddy in the field beside.
Mr Beazley, County Antrim
,What a beautiful place Sound Cottage is! My husband and I and our 3 girls thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Achill and the cottage and its location are picturesque. There is everything you could need in the cottage for a family of 5, it is clean and tidy and what you would expect from an old Irish cottage. The girls enjoyed Ned the donkey in the field beside the cottage and the fact that the shoreline was pretty much on the doorstep. A fab place to just get away from modern day life and spend time together as a family.
Mrs Graham, County Tyrone
,Remote situation of the cottage and an olde worlde charm. The views across the sound to mainland Eire were superb and the cottage itself had years of history between it's walls.
