This property was without doubt the best we have ever stayed in! We have had 7 holiday cottages with Sykes and Courtyard Cottage was absolutely excellent in every way! If it was possible, it should be given 6 ticks! Everything about the Cottage was really wonderful - so comfortable, so clean, beautifully decorated. The hosts could not have been more welcoming and helpful to us.
,This is our second time of visiting Courtyard Cottage, and we hope to go again in the not too distant future. It is by far the best self catering cottage we have ever visited.
,The cottage and it's setting are really beautiful. It was a privilege to have stayed there. The woodburner made the whole cottage toasty warm, it was so cosy we didn't want to go out.
,The cottage was spectacular and the welcome by the owner was just as it should be. A unique cottage in unique surroundings. The welcome pack was the icing on the cake.
Mrs Allen, Nottinghamshire
,The warm welcome from the owners and the perfect setting for Christmas with ideal surroundings, a walk to the pub at Tibberton for lunch and a walk back to a cosy log fire made it a very special venue. The quiet and darkness and comfortable bed ensured a good nights sleep. It was especially good for us as we have family nearby who were able to visit us and we could visit them.
Mrs Denning, Wiltshire
,What an amazing property! We can not thank the owners enough. A lot of TLC has gone into this property and it really shows. Highly recommend this place for a quiet get away. Excellent accommodation and the owners are perfect hosts. Can't wait to go back!
Mrs Adie, Derbyshire
,The cottage was fabulous, very cosy and comfortable. The photos on the site don't do it justice. The grounds were beautiful. The owners were so friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble - they had a great knowledge of the history of the house, which was really interesting. The welcome pack was very thoughtful and much appreciated. Overall a very tranquil and relaxing place to visit.
Ms Byrne, Merseyside
,Certainly the best appointed cottage we have ever stayed in. Really sympathetically restored. The grounds are very grand and the hosts are two of the most genuine chaps we've had the pleasure to meet. We all feel well rested and the kids loved it. We intend to return to this gem as soon as we can. Thank-you!
Mr Swarbrick, Lancashire
,A quirky cottage set in beautiful gardens. It was very clean and well equipped, with a thoughtful and generous welcome pack on arrival. Had a helpful and welcoming owner. A little gem.
Mrs Bowen, Sir Ceredigion
,The cottage was wonderful in all aspects.
Mrs Myhill, Suffolk
,The care and attention to detail of the renovation of the cottage coupled with all mod cons and comfort was amazing. The colourful and sheltered courtyard surrounded by magnificent grounds was a haven of peace. The welcome by the owners and tour of the cottage made us feel immediately at home. We particularly enjoyed learning about the history of the hall and buildings. Nothing was too much trouble.
Mrs Maybee, Worcestershire
,The owners were very hospitable and made us very welcome. The situation was so peaceful - just birdsong around us. The cottage was charming and full of character, with a very comfortable bed and everything catered for. Shropshire is a beautiful county with lots to see and do.
Mrs Wise, Gloucestershire
,The cottage was absolutely lovely and the owners matched this, they were so helpful and friendly. The surrounding countryside is marvellous and we visited Ironbridge, Ludlow and Powys Castle to name but a few. I would thoroughly recommend this cottage, with its very high standards, to all my friends.
Mrs Morgan, Essex
,We had a wonderful time, the property was full of character yet homely and very comfortable, especially the beds. The towels were lovely and fluffy and there was plenty of hot water. The hosts were lovely and extremely welcoming. We would highly recommend this property, we loved everything about it.
Mrs Aitken, Dorset
,The best cottage we have stayed in so far, the hosts were lovely people and have thought of everything. There were beautiful grounds to wander around in, we honestly couldn't fault it. We will definitely be making a return visit.
Mrs Smartsmart, Fife
,We were made very welcome on our arrival. The owners were warm, friendly and approachable during our stay. The Cottage was breathtaking and the attention to detail for the décor and soft furnishings was excellent. It was very clean and had all the modern white goods. Exceptional Cottage and grounds. Mrs Gale, Lancashire
,This was the most delightful cottage that we have ever stayed in, and that's in about 40 years of using self-catering cottages. We were given a warm welcome, an excellent and were made to feel at home. The setting is beautiful, the cottage has been beautifully restored and is very comfortable.
Dr Maun, Devon
,Whatever your expectations you will not be disappointed with this truly exceptional cottage. From the charming beamed Tudor style exterior, the courtyard overflowing with an abundance of floral displays and quirky architectural pieces. Really a 10 out of 10 experience.
,We had a warm and friendly welcome. The overall quality of the property was outstanding. It was absolutely faultless!
,This is a great cottage, in a wonderful location, set in the very nice grounds of Meeson Hall. Our welcome was great, the owners are very welcoming and happy to help answering any questions and offering advice on things to do in the area. The cottage itself is warm (the log fire was lit for our arrival) cosy, clean and very well presented. We highly recommend this cottage to relax, get away from it all in a tranquil comfortable location that's in a good location to access Shrewsbury, Lornbridge and other interesting sites such as Stokesay Castle or Ludlow markets.
Mr Rice, Greater Manchester
,The building is gorgeous, old and full of character, totally refurbished to a high standard and modernised where it matters. The setting is very private with off road parking and is very relaxing. It felt like our home whilst we were there. It was cosy and warm and wood burner was great. The owners are really lovely people. We love it here, this was our second visit.
,A fantastic cottage, like waking up in your own well appointed piece of history. The owners are brilliant hosts, their enthusiasm for their house and the area adds a whole new dimension to the holiday - attentive but not intrusive. If you can find any availability in the already booking up calendar - go!
Mrs Long, Hertfordshire
,We have stayed at some fine cottages, but this topped the lot! It had everything you could imagine. The cottage was the right amount of cosy but still spacious. It was beautifully decorated to feel rustic and authentic with lots of antiques and character and yet without being old and dated. In the kitchen, drawers were filled with many extras, all the conveniences of home, which so many places lack. The grounds are beautiful, many strolls and more adventurous hikes on the doorstep. Plenty of attractions to keep you busy, but you will find it hard to tear yourself away from the property. The icing on the cake though are the owners. You can see that they have taken a lot of time and care to make everything perfect. We do a lot of research picking the right cottage for a lovely stay away, this one is something really special.
Mrs Pye, London
,The cottage is very welcoming and full of character, with good size rooms and a very relaxed feel. It was absolutely spotless with everything you needed to cater for yourself while you are on holiday. The owners are so helpful and on hand if you need anything, we were made to feel very welcome. We especially liked having a walk in wardrobe in the bedroom with room to store cases and bags. It makes a wonderful base for a holiday with freedom to walk around the grounds. Really must praise the owners for creating something special. There was plenty of parking space and a variety of places to visit. The best place we have ever stayed.
Mr Daniels, Surrey
,There is nothing I can fault about this property. It is in beautiful condition with many thoughtful touches. The gardens are lovely and the sense of history is everywhere; it is impossible to tell what century you are in when you look out of any of the windows. The owners warmth and genuine manner is terrific and made the whole vacation even more special.
Mrs Cohen, Alameda
,This is the best holiday cottage I have ever stayed in. It was spotless, beautifully furnished, and in a stunning location.
Ms Winters, Hertfordshire
,A lovely restored cottage in a really peaceful setting.
Mr Nelson, Greater Manchester
,The cottage is out of this world. A perfect place to get away from it all. The welcome we received was extremely warm and friendly. We would not hesitate to recommend Courtyard Cottage and a future visit is highly likely.
,The cottage was historically interesting. The area was peaceful and the owners were very welcoming, informative and friendly, but not intrusive.
