The Ticket Office
North York Moors and Coast, YO21 1NJ, GB
This Victorian, Grade II listed ticket office has been imaginatively converted and has retained many of its original features. The sitting, kitchen and dining area are all on open plan, and the compact, well-equipped kitchen and farmhouse style dining area are cleverly screened by the spiral staircase from the warm and inviting sitting room with its original ticket office cast iron fireplace and tiles. Winding through this delightfully quirky property, the spiral stairs go up to the eaves where the cosy and intimate cabin style bedroom awaits, and the bathroom is also housed in this space. The lawned area to the front of the property may be enjoyed by the guests. This is a beautiful property and makes a perfect hideaway to enjoy this area.

Location was perfect and it was a very well equipped cottage, small but perfectly formed!

Miss Ward, Cheshire
,It was very cosy, a home from home.
Mrs Foster, Nottinghamshire
,Second time I have stayed there. Small but perfectly formed. Like the 'quirkiness' of the Old Ticket Office. Very convenient for public transport (I did not have a car with me), and only 25 mins walk into Whitby.
Miss Day, Suffolk
,Our third visit to this cottage and it was just as warm, cosy and comfortable. We really enjoyed the originality of staying in the ticket office of a Victorian railway station. It has been beautifully converted. The front door onto the platform was great to run out and wave to the trains!
Mrs Paton, Leicestershire

,The Ticket Office is a quirky and unusual place to stay. Interesting spiral staircase. Cosy and warm. Novelty to have your own personal train platform and trains passing your window.Everything you need for a holiday stay. Some beautiful areas to explore nearby and a lovely walk along the river Esk or down the cinder track into Whitby
