The Coach House
Northumbria, NE48 1LE, GB
The Coach House, as its name suggests, was originally a working coach-house, built in the 19th Century. This detached property as been lovingly restored to offer substantial accommodation, yet retains much of its original charm through exposed beams and an open fire. With 3 bedrooms, it offers accommodation for up to 6 people. Although it is very close to the banks of the river, the front garden is enclosed by walls, so any children are safe in the event that they are unsupervised. This also offers excellent opportunities for outdoor dining and summer barbecues. The property also boasts its own all-weather tennis-court and a stocked fishing-lake which visitors can use with prior arrangement through the owner.

Well equipped, spacious and very comfortable. The owners are very accommodating and helpful. Good parking space. A lovely country area. Highly recommended.
Miss Cook, Cheshire
,A lovely property which was well looked after by the host. Felt so relaxed all the time there.
Mr Booth, Dorset
,The location was great, the house position and gardens are wonderful and the house is well decorated, furnished and stocked with crockery, cutlery and the like. No mobile phone signal is a actually a benefit, it means being genuinely free from work, but having WiFi is good, and essential for kids with iPads and the like. Also there is so much to do/see within 60mins drive. There was nothing we didn't like.
Mr Maltman, Lincolnshire
,We loved the tranquillity of this place, with nothing but the sounds of bleating lambs from the neighbouring farms and birdsong in the woods to disturb the peace. The cottage itself had every creature comfort you could wish for.
Mrs Fox, Essex
,The accommodation was first class and the owners were very attentive. Best holiday in years.
Mr Elliott, North Yorkshire
,An excellent family property with loads of space and the garden/tennis court made the holiday.
Mr Shotton, Durham
,This property was fantastic; a great location, extremely well appointed and exactly as described in the brochure. I would not change a thing.
Mr Schofield, Greater Manchester
,A beautiful property in a lovely location. It was warm and well appointed, and the quality of the fixtures and fittings was excellent. Stargazing from the garden was amazing and we saw some shooting stars. We would certainly visit again.
Mrs Rainbow, Herefordshire
,This holiday cottage could not have been furnished to a higher standard. There was more than ample of everything you could possibly need. The owners were extremely helpful with directions and although they were on the same site they were not intrusive at all.
Mrs May, Co Durham
,A very relaxing and comfortable place to stay. In an excellent location with beautiful and peaceful landscapes to enjoy from the property.
Mrs Wright, Cheshire
,A beautiful house in a beautiful place.
Mrs Bullivant, Lancashire
,We celebrated a late Christmas with my family and the cottage, particularly the kitchen, was beautiful and very well equipped. The garden was perfect for our Labradors as it was large and completely enclosed.
Mrs Lightfoot, Lincolnshire
,The Coach House was absolutely excellent. I couldn't have asked for a better cottage.
,The cottage is beautifully presented and in a peaceful location. It has all the mod cons, but with traditional feel. The walled garden was a safe environment for our dogs. Cottage was spotlessly clean and the owners were very helpful. We will return, it was bliss.
Mrs Lambert, North Yorkshire
,The Coach House is a superior holiday cottage. It is very beautifully furnished and with every facility and comfort one could wish for.
,The Coach House was so well equipped and comfortable, and it was the loveliest house we have stayed in so far and I would definitely recommend it.
,In a lovely position which was quiet and peaceful, and the very friendly owners were on hand if needed. The dogs were made as welcome as we were. It was so nice to have a well equipped utility room where we were able to store boots, dry clothes and then shut the door on it, allowing us to enjoy the house at its best.
