The cottage has a twin room with TV, and a room which can be offered as either a double or a twin, with a TV and en-suite shower, basin and WC. The kitchen has a dining area and folding doors to the patio, while the sitting room has a sofabed and a woodburning stove. Outside is off road parking for two cars, and the patio with furniture makes a lovely spot to relax with a morning coffee. From Houghton North Farm Cottage, it is easy to enjoy walking in Hadrian's Wall county, the town of Hexham, city of Newcastle and even the dramatic Northumberland Heritage Coastline.

The cottage was in the ideal location for us to complete walking Hadrian's Wall Trail. The accommodation was great and everyone we met very welcoming. A lovely village with good pubs.

,The welcome was very friendly and everything was ready when we arrived. The location is first class; from visiting Beamish Museum, the Roman Forts on Hadrian's Wall and Metro Shopping Mall. If I go back to the area, this would be my first choice.

,A clean, comfortable, quiet, typical cottage on a farm. The owners were discrete and very kind. The sofas were large and the beds were good. The kitchen furniture and tools were particularly complete for cooking.
