The ease of access to Northern Britain that Haltwhistle provided, we had side trips to Edinburgh and Windernere and day excursions to Durham and Settle.
The range of provisions, services and activities available in Haltwhistle.
The efficiency and regularity of the UK railways.
We intend to book again next year, and from Haltwhistle will revisit Edinburgh, and make side trips to Glasgow and York.
,In a convenient location for all walking, sightseeing and exploring. Haltwhistle is a good base with plenty of amenities and good bus and train services. The apartment was very good, clean and well equipped.
,Liked the attention to detail in the apartment. Everything in the apartment was designed to make our stay warm, comfortable and delightful. Everything worked well and was spotless. There were instruction manuals for all the appliances and TV, and there were lots of information brochures for exploring in Cumbria and Northumberland. The best place we have stayed on our two month trip.
,An excellent apartment in a very tranquil market town, had a very relaxing holiday.

,Flat is very comfortable and well situated for travelling around the area as both bus and train are easily accessible. The window seat is a pleasant place to sit watching the world go by! All in all a good holiday destination for visiting Hadrian's Wall.
